We had a chance to speak with John LeNoie, about among other things his amazing career in the Central Minnesota area. We had spoken about his place of work, the current financial climate, and what he likes to do in his free time.
DD: Thanks for taking the time to speak to me today John. First off, what led you to pursue your passion for the finance and home mortgage industry?
JL: I enjoy helping people reach their goals. I’ve always been good with numbers and gained a passion for real estate early in my life, so the mortgage industry seemed like a natural fit.
DD: Can you tell us more about your profession and what services you specialize in?
JL: Being a true mortgage broker means I have access to many lenders. This helps me get my clients great deals and a home loan that is customized to meet their individual needs. I specialize in many types of home loans including but not limited to purchase, refinance, construction, and reverse mortgages.
DD: What are some of your positions and jobs you have had prior that helped make being a loan specialist a natural progression?
JL: Prior to becoming a loan specialist I had experience as a real estate agent, appraiser, and property manager.
DD: If someone contacts you for a home loan, what are the steps from that first phone call to the final steps of their home purchase?
JL: The first conversation is usually about getting someone pre-approved to buy a home. Then once they get an accepted offer I help match them with a lender that is a great fit for their situation. After that, I help them through the underwriting process. The last step is closing, this is where the client signs all the final loan documents and takes ownership of the home.
DD: Could you give some advice for people who are thinking of purchasing a home today, how to prepare, and or navigate through the current financial climate?
JL: The first step is to get pre-approved. This way you know what you can afford and look for. Many real estate agents in this market want someone pre-approved before they will spend time showing them houses.
DD: What is your area radius that you service?
JL: Anywhere in Minnesota.
DD: What do you feel are some of your strong points that may separate you from the pack?
JL: My attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
DD: When you are not helping people buy, and or refinance homes, what are some things you enjoy doing with your free time?
JL: I enjoy golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
