Hey, y’all. It’s Seven from illuminet, and got a special band review for y’all today. When I go watch live music, I put the bands in sort of a tier.
If you haven’t had the chance to check out Rival Five yet, you may want to. This band is top tier when it comes to sound quality and presence, and is absolutely one of the best local cover bands I have heard ever. We stopped on Friday night over at Madina Entertainment Center, one of the area’s premier live music venues, to take a listen. As an avid fan of local music, they really stood out this Friday night with a super diverse setlist ranging from Journey and Cyndi Lauper to hits from Animotion and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. You really can’t go wrong. It was really cool to hear so many songs other bands don’t dare to try to play. But, I have to tell you, Rival Five killed it all night. I’m definitely going to keep an eye for when and where this band is playing, and make sure to catch them live when I can. Make sure to check them out online.
