In the final moments of the trailer, viewers catch a glimpse of Mizutsune, the first monster featured in the upcoming free title update. The creature gracefully descends from the trees to engage in battle with a Doshaguma. A subsequent panel provides a preview of what’s in store for the free spring update – event quests, added content, and fan-favorite Mizutsune. Although an official release date has not been revealed, April or May seems to be the most plausible timeline. As for players, they will have ample time to prepare themselves and their gear before this formidable Leviathan becomes available to the masses.

While anticipation builds for the upcoming fight, we can turn to past games for some ideas and theories. The location of this battle will be the Scarlet Forest, a dense and predator-filled area where species like LaLa Barina and Uth Duna reign supreme. What’s most noteworthy is the remarkable weaponry and armor we can craft from its resources. The intricately designed armor has always been a fan favorite. Additionally, the skills it provides will surely give us an advantage in this tough encounter. It’s difficult to predict, but it’s likely that the armor will offer water resistance and speed eating, as well as its own unique skillset. As for weapons, they are bound to be exceptional choices since many monsters are vulnerable to water elements. A prime example is the Oilwell Basin ecosystem, home to numerous fire-using predators.
