What’s up? It’s Seven, checking back in from illuminet, giving you another spectacular review of a really cool band here in Minnesota, The Dream Police. We arrived at Legend’s Bar and Grill in St. Cloud Saturday night because I have heard about this band for a while, and since I’m a fan of Cheap Trick, I just had to go see what they were about. Since we were only able to stay for the first set, we immediately ordered a couple beers, a gin and tonic, and a couple burgers, and sat down to enjoy the show. Side note, Legend’s has delicious burgers and fries. So, if you stop by, give them a try. The Dream Police, hailing from Minneapolis, is a quite entertaining and flamboyant band that played Cheap Trick’s Platinum album Live at Budokan in its entirety. With hits like I Want You to Want Me and Surrender, they kept the audience captivated. The lead singer in particular was very entertaining to watch and did a great job on all the songs. The band was also very tight and played the songs perfectly. They really caught the vibe and energy of Cheap Trick during that phase of their career. If you like Cheap Trick and rock and roll, I really recommend this band. A special thanks and shout-out to Jay from dj’s Flower Bar and Tea in St. Joe for helping put this video together.
Well, that about does it, my mushy minions. I’m Seven from illuminet in conjunction with The Area Buzz, and that’s a wrap. Actually, not so fast. Check out Central Minnesota’s music project 706 and their new single Wrath. This song and video is a banger for sure.
Wrath is an advanced emotional state for which you initiate and propagate, invoking a perceived provocation, chosen to wreak havoc through manipulation. World war five.
Fear upon the war machines of wheels keep on turning, turning out a heaven. The night highlights the city streets burning. People are crying. People are dying. Politicians counting their money getting hiding. The government officials and we try to burn the stops. Separating yourself from what is politically correct. With bombs on dropping on another city.
When we fall.
We fall.
Innocence will die. Feeling lost.
We are falling. Suffering suffering suffering.
Suffering suffering suffering.
